Director & Head of Corporate Strategy & Development Purolator

As the Director of Corporate Strategy & Development, Azim Panju plays a lead role in defining Purolator’s strategic direction and driving growth, innovation and optimization initiatives across the organization’s business units.

With more than ten years of experience leading strategy development, profit improvement and innovation programs, Azim is a dynamic leader with the proven ability to effectively identify and pursue value creation opportunities, supported by analytical insights and marketplace developments.

Before joining Purolator in 2018, Azim spent a number of years working for many of North America’s leading retailers in internal roles and in an external consulting capacity. Most recently, Azim served as the Chief of Staff to the President of Hudson’s Bay Canada. Prior to that, he worked with Sobeys, Deloitte and Ernst & Young.

Azim is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA) and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Honours, specializing in strategy and accounting, from the Schulich School of Business at York University.
