Head of Marketing & eCommerce DAVIDsTEA

Catherine Laporte joined the DAVIDsTEA team as Head of Marketing in August 2016.As such, she oversees the departments of Marketing, Public Relations, Field Marketing, Design, E-commerce, and Social Media, all while ensuring that the company’s strategic objectives are conveyed through the content marketing strategy. She continuously strives to improve brand and product awareness, to stimulatecustomer acquisition and to ensure brand consistency throughout all contact points. Formerly, she was Director of Marketing at Luxury Retreats. A brand image specialist, she has built a strong expertise in the retail industry in North America and in the United Kingdom.

Catherine holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications with a specialization in Marketing from the John Molson School of Business at Concordia University. She started her career within the ALDO Group as a salesperson at an ALDO store and then quickly moved up the echelons by working in various marketing and management positions at the ALDO Group head office. Working in these positions allowed her to familiarize herself with all banners and to work on major projects such as the launch of both Locale and Little Burgundy in Canada, the development of Spring and Espace Little Burgundy’s magazines and the successful collaboration with the Canadian online retailer Frank + Oak.

Recognized for her creativity and her leadership, Catherine is also actively involved in the Montreal community as a member of the Young Associates of Montreal Opera.
