Eiko Kawano
Eiko is the Senior Director of Digital Experience Strategy for PC Optimum at Loblaw Companies Limited. In her role, she leads the editorial strategy for the PC Optimum app and oversees the customer experience, shaping how millions of members engage with the platform. With over 20 years of experience across strategy, UX, design, and research, Eiko is known for her multi-faceted background in building impactful experiences. She served as Jury President for the D&AD Digital Design Awards in 2022, presented at the DesignX Summit in 2022, and was a juror for the Cannes Lions Creative eCommerce category in 2021. Prior to Loblaw, she was the Head of Experience Design for Retail North America at Publicis Sapient. Eiko believes that building empathy for both customers and team members consistently leads to better outcomes, and that diverse perspectives are essential to effective problem-solving. She has a particular interest in the intersection of data and design, and applies a data-driven approach to customer journey modelling, experience design, and optimization.
