1:20 PM Track A: Discovering How Payments Can Offer a Competitive Advantage and Differentiate your Brand

In an era of economic uncertainty, high interest rates, and growing consumer skepticism, the ability to meet customers where they are — financially — has become a key differentiator. Payments are no longer just a backend function; they’re a strategic lever that can influence trust, loyalty, and conversion.

We will explore the intersection of consumer psychology, payment behavior, and retail strategy. Learn how leading brands are using flexible payment options, smarter checkout design, and behavioral insights to not only reduce friction but to position payment as a moment of brand empathy and value.

  • Understand the emotional and psychological drivers behind purchasing decisions in financially sensitive environments
  • Deploy flexible payment solutions (BNPL, installment plans, digital wallets) that align with customer needs and increase conversion
  • Design checkout experiences that reduce decision fatigue and build trust at the point of payment
  • Differentiate your brand by offering financial inclusivity and transparency as a value proposition
  • Leverage payments data to gain deeper insights into customer behavior and tailor your financial UX accordingly
